We’re excited to introduce you to two new faces at Friends: Kal and Lauren!

Meet our new Community Forester, Kal McLane! 👋
Originally from the middle of the mitten, Kal has loved living in Grand Rapids for the last three years. Kal enjoys hiking with their senior dogs, foraging, and doing pretty much any outdoor activity. When not exploring the outdoors, they also enjoy nurturing their houseplants, cozying up with a book, or trying out a new cooking recipe. Kal’s favorite park is Garfield Park.

Meet our new Administrator, Lauren Vermilye! 👋
Lauren has lived in Grand Rapids her whole life and currently lives in the Creston neighborhood. She enjoys camping with her family and introducing her kids to the wonders of Michigan. Her favorite park is Riverside Park.
