Your donation makes an impact

Want to help us continue increasing access to the outdoors in Grand Rapids?

With your help, 2024 was another record-breaking year! Thanks to our volunteers, donors, and sponsors, we were able to expand our programming, plant trees to bring shade throughout the city, and build places of belonging for all.

This GivingTuesday, we need your help to raise $6,000 to support the completion of 4.5 miles of natural surface trails in Ball Perkins Park. With a generous match from an anonymous donor, each dollar donated will be matched up to $3,000.

Once these trails are completed, visitors will enjoy increased accessibility with wider trails, 3.5 miles of multi-purpose trails and 1 mile of hiking-only trail, and safety features designed to protect you and the park. These new trails will connect more users to the park’s 80 acres of land, which could easily be mistaken for a state or national park.

Gifts of all sizes will directly contribute to our goal of raising $52,000 to finish this project. Features include:

💚 Building two wooden bridges to minimize erosion and create a safer experience for all users.

💚 Dropping in culverts in three locations on the trail, helping keep the trails narrow and containing the water flow.

💚 Signage, kiosks, soil enhancement, and more!

Gifts of all sizes are welcomed, used, and appreciated!
