Clemente Park

Est. 1911

Classified as a Neighborhood Park it serves as the recreational and social focus of the neighborhood.

A gift of George A. Rumsey in March 1911, Rumsey Park was originally intended to act as a buffer between the industry along Godfrey Ave. and the residential area to the east. On September 11, 1983, Rumsey Park officially became Clemente Park in honor of the late Pittsburgh Pirate, Roberto Clemente.

Recently, a citizens group has been working to raise funds to build a skate park on the former tennis courts.
