Rosa Parks Circle
This park has become the heart and soul of the city. The park was originally named Monroe Mall Amphitheater but is now named Rosa Parks Circle in honor of the famous Michigan resident Rosa Parks.
The unique park was created by Maya Lin as a functioning sculpture that could support as a local venue for special events and gatherings. It is made up of a 13000 sq/ft oval amphitheater “Ecliptic”, 166 fiber-optic lights, trees, two reflective pools and a statue of Rosa herself.
