Tree Watering Workday

What to Expect

Let’s water some young trees! During this tree-watering workday, volunteers will be biking to trees in the neighborhood and waiting for the truck and trailer to pull up with buckets of water. Each bucket weighs about 45 lbs. and each tree receives two buckets of water. The truck will drive to the next tree while one person waters the first tree, and we “leap-frog” the rest of the way down the street until all the trees are watered. Volunteers should anticipate biking 4-5 miles in total.

  • Please bring your own bicycle and helmet
  • Be ready to life up to 45 lbs. unassisted
  • Close-toed shoes are required
  • Please bring any snacks, water, and sunscreen you anticipate needing
  • Tools and training will be provided
