We are delighted to share that Evette Pittman will be one of our newest board members! We have brought on 3 new board members as a part of our 16.3 million dollar initiative to support Grand Rapids Parks, Urban Forests, and Trails. Evette, who will be supporting Friends as an event specialist, is committed to making Grand Rapids Parks more inclusive and accessible and increasing users to improve the quality of life for all in Grand Rapids.

Evette currently leads the City of Grand Rapids’ Office of Special Events by managing year-round events, art exhibitions, film and photography projects, and local activations that align with the city’s priorities and values. She brings with her a dedication to high-quality and collaborative events that focus in on promoting positive social change, as well as a deep care for building strong relationships with local businesses, artists, non-profits, and community members. We are grateful to have her on the board and look forward to participating in any events, projects, or ideas she brings to life.

So, please give a big thank you and warm welcome to Evette Pittman!
