Get ready to Explore Your Parks! With 75+ parks and green spaces, Grand Rapids’ parks have something to offer everyone. At the 2nd annual Explore Your Parks workshop series, Friends of Grand Rapids Parks is partnering with Premier and Chill Foundation West Michigan to provide this free skate and build a demo for all ages and skill levels.
Join us on Wednesday, August 28th, when members of the Premier team, skatepark builders, and local artists will all be guiding this workshop at Clemente DIY Skate Park. GR Outdoor and Chill Foundation will have a limited supply of free rental skateboards and safety equipment for the skateboarding class.
5:30pm: Skateboarding class
6:30pm: Brief introduction to concrete building and skate art
7:30pm: Event concludes; open skate until dark
All three parts are introductory level, free, and open to the public.
