Luminaria Walk at Huff Park

What to Expect

Join us at Huff Park to experience the magic of a moonlit winter stroll with family, friends, a partner, or enjoy a walk in quiet solitude.

On Thursday, February 6th, the trail at Huff Park will be lit with luminarias from 6-8 pm. The ambient light will mark the paths, but Friends recommends bringing a flashlight or headlamp and wearing boots to navigate the unplowed paths. Enjoy this event alone or with friends and family.

In addition to strolling through the path, enjoy free hot cocoa (first come, first served!), a small bonfire, materials to create s’mores, and opportunities to learn about the rich biodiversity at Huff Park that can be enjoyed year-round!

This event is FREE for anyone to attend!

NOTE: Only the front part of the trail will be lit with luminarias. If you choose to explore the full path, we advise bringing a flashlight or lamp and watching for fallen branches and areas of the boardwalk that need repair (especially toward the back).

PARKING: If the park’s main parking lot is full, park in the baseball lot on the east side, off Ball Ave NE. Additional street parking is available on the park’s north side along Aberdeen St. (Carpooling is recommended, if available!)

Registration is not required for this event, but we’d appreciate it if you select ‘Interested’ or ‘Going’ on our Facebook event!
