Friends of Grand Rapids Parks is updating the Adopt-A-Park Program! Now called the Park Stewardship Program, we’re piloting a community-based model for stewarding Grand Rapids city parks. This meeting is an introduction to the program and an opportunity for interested residents to ask questions, learn more, and get involved. We hope to see you there!
The goal of the Friends of Roosevelt Park group is to empower the community to engage with the park in a way that adds value to the existing park resources. In collaboration with Roosevelt Park Neighborhood Association, we’ll be coordinating park events focusing on the following (or similar) activities:
- Invasive plant species removal
- Tree planting
- Curb appeal beautification
- Trash clean-up from natural areas
We aim to create a welcoming, fun way for folks to get involved, and work together with other neighbors who all care about Roosevelt Park!
