We have some new faces on the Board of Directors:
Please give a warm welcome and BIG thank you to these folks! We are excited to have them as part of the team.
Sara Acker
Sara is a people person. She LOVES people and learning about all things that make them…well, them. Professionally, she has spent her career focusing on preventive health promotion and how she can help all those very loved people be the healthiest version of themselves. One year ago she took a jump to the consulting side and is very excited that her path has led her to her current role as an Employee Benefit Client Executive at Hylant. When she is not spending her time attempting to learn everything there is to know about the healthcare industry (it’s become a bit of an obsession, not a pursuit she would recommend) most of Sara’s time is spent with her husband and 5 teenagers near some type of athletic field. Along with people Sara loves being anywhere on, in or near water, drinking red wine, but not too much wine, a healthy amount, and her dog Willa. She might love Willa an unhealthy amount but you would too if you met her.
Victor Holt
Victor currently serves as an Assistant Vice President, Financial Center Manager, for Fifth Third Bank’s Main Office in Downtown Grand Rapids. As the Co-Chair for Fifth Third’s West Michigan African American Business Resource Group, he has excelled in bringing professionals in the community together and advocating for financial literacy. Victor actively volunteers and partners with numerous organizations throughout the West Michigan community. Victor’s dedicated work speaks to his core principle, as a community we can go farther together.
Lauren Parker
Lauren is a corporate attorney at a leading Michigan law firm, Varnum LLP, where she focuses her practice on transactional work such a mergers and acquisitions and other commercial transactions. Her experience working with businesses ranges from early startups to mature businesses of all sizes, many of which contribute to the growth and vibrancy of Grand Rapids. She brings with her a desire to foster community relations between local businesses and their neighbors through outreach and accountability efforts. During her spare time, Lauren enjoys exploring her “backyard” shops, eats, and of course, parks!
Eddie Tadlock
Eddie is the Assistant General Manager at ASM Global. An entrepreneurial executive with more than 20 years of comprehensive experience, he works in directing sales, purchasing, business development, operations, and personnel at the corporate level for meeting and convention facilities. He has documented experience using keen analysis, insights, and a team approach to drive organizational improvements and implementation of best practices.
