If you like talking to people and have an eye for detail, volunteering with Friends staff at Bird Watching at Ken-O-Sha Park could be for you! We have three open spots for event volunteers.
As a volunteer during the Bird Watching event, you will:
- Arrive early to help set up the registration tent
- Help with registration and participant check-in
- Make sure folks know when the birding hikes start, what activities are available, and what birding resources are available from the Audubon Club
- Direct participants to enjoy the snacks
- Stay a little late to help with taking the tents, tables, etc. down after the event is done, and loading them into a staff member’s vehicle
Once all participants are checked in, you are welcome to participate in a birding hike!
